Paris, TN- “The energy is always there; You can feel the rivalry!” Patriot senior Colby Stallings set the scene for Thursday’s Henry County High School basketball game in Gamlin Gym against Dickson County on January 30. Coach Wes Miller is looking for a big crowd at Thursday’s game. “Dickson County is a big game for us. They’re a talented team and it will be a test for us.” Henry County is 4-0 in district play and Dickson County is 3-0.

Miller believes the spirit of competitiveness between the two teams is a great motivator for his players. “If you don’t have a rival, it’s not as fun to play.” He went on to say that after the district win last night over Kenwood, his players immediately shifted focus to the upcoming game.

Miller is asking for all fans to come out and support the Lady Patriots and Patriots at this game. “It’s about the kids. The focus needs to be on our student athletes.” Athletic Director, Steve Summers, has offered all HCHS students’ free admission to the ballgame if they come before the girl’s game at 6:00 p.m.

Parking is located in student parking only. The circle drive is reserved for buses only. No cars are allowed around the circle drive in front of the high school. Handicapped parking is located adjacent to the circle where 14 spots are reserved for handicapped parking. These spots are usually for handicapped, visitor, and staff parking but will be reserved for handicapped parking for the game. HCHS appreciates your cooperation.
