Paris, TN- Senior students and their parents/guardians are invited to a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) workshop tonight, January 30, at 5:00 p.m. in the Henry County High School Testing Center located in the E-building across from the field house. Outreach Specialist, Lori Mitchum, will be available to assist participants with the FAFSA process. According to John Norwood, college and career counselor, this event is very important for those who have not yet completed the FAFSA. “Your student could be leaving up to $4,000 in state money on the table if the FAFSA is not submitted. Families will need to submit both Student and Parent forms by the end of January.
Senior student worker Chase Cameron, pictured, works in the school counseling office. He and his parents have completed his FAFSA and he explains that the process is straightforward but, “I recommend attending the workshop tonight for parents and students who have questions about the application.”
The FAFSA is a free application. Be aware of any service that charges you a fee to complete a FAFSA form.
Doors will open at 4:45pm.
