Buchanan, TN – The teacher cart rolls down the halls of Lakewood Elementary School the first Friday of each month. A small tap on the door alerts teachers that PTO volunteers are ready to serve a snack and drink to any staff member who wants to participate. The snacks and drinks on the teacher cart are either donated by parents or donated by businesses and is a loving gesture from parents to say thank you to the educators who are with their students all day.
Along with the teacher cart, the PTO also arranged popcorn and drinks for students, who picked up their snack at the school concession stand. Ellen Neese Adams and Cristin Gnagey have students who attend Lakewood and enjoy being a part of the Lakewood Parent Teacher Organization. They encourage all parents to be a part of their child’s school by donating time, goods, or money so that the organization can provide special treats to students and staff.

The PTO will be hosting a Family Dance on March 14 from 6:00 -8:00 PM at Lakewood.
